The Dammuso Circle follows with particular attention the path of the Cossyra Energy Renewable Energy Community, born in Pantelleria with the aim of promoting the local production and sharing of energy from renewable sources and generating environmental, economic and social benefits for its members and for the territory.
We believe that an Energy Community can represent an important opportunity for an island like Pantelleria, characterized by a particular energy vulnerability and the need to build, over time, a more sustainable model that is more linked to the resources of the territory.
Participation in the CER is voluntary and can take place with different roles.
It is also possible to join as a simple consumer, without owning a production plant. Those who meet the requirements can also participate as producers or prosumers, contributing to the production and sharing of renewable energy.
Joining the CER does not entail the renunciation of one’s current electricity supply contract: in fact, each member retains its rights as an end customer and continues to freely choose its supplier.
The energy produced by the Community’s plants and shared among the members can generate incentives and economic benefits according to the rules provided for by the legislation, the GSE and the ERC Internal Regulations.
Cossyra Energy will also be able to develop initiatives in the field of energy efficiency, storage, home automation, electric mobility and more generally services related to the energy transition.
For The Dammuso Circle, supporting this path means helping to build a more aware, more efficient and progressively less dependent Pantelleria on a fragile and expensive energy model.
For this reason, we would like to invite our members to evaluate their membership in Cossyra Energy, inquiring directly about the methods of participation and the different possible roles within the Community.

To start the procedure, the following are required:
- the first page of the SMEDE bill, which shows the POD code and the holder’s data;
- an identity document of the holder;
- the signing of the proxy necessary to request the user’s load curves from SMEDE.
We believe that participating in the Energy Community can represent not only an individual opportunity, but also a concrete contribution to the construction of a more sustainable energy model that is better suited to the characteristics of Pantelleria.
