New provisions for tourist rentals and CIN

Dear Associate,

we follow the operational meeting of 12 March 2026 called by the Municipality of Pantelleria on the subject of tourist rentals, to draw attention to the new obligations provided for by current legislation.

As is known, it is mandatory for all units intended for tourist rental to be equipped with a National Identification Code (CIN), to be displayed visibly inside the property.

In light of the new provisions, owners already in possession of the CIN are also required to comply by 30 June 2026, by sending the required documentation.

What is required

For each housing unit (dammuso/apartment) it is necessary:

1. Fill in the form “Annex B” (attached to this document)
2. Attach the required documentation, in particular:
   • cadastral plan
   • cadastral survey
   • certificate of habitability (or SCA)
   • any certifications of the systems (if available)
3. Send everything by PEC to the following address:

servizioturistico.ct@certmail.regione.sicilia.it

Caution

• It is necessary to submit a file for each housing unit (identified by sheet, parcel and subordinate)
• It is no longer possible to use a single CIN for multiple properties
• The data entered must be consistent with the cadastral documentation

The compilation, transmission of the file and the truthfulness of the declarations remain under the full responsibility of the individual owner.
